Login and Access to Back-office/Admin System

This guide explains how to access the Lending & Deposits back-office system and manage user authentication.

Accessing the System

Login URL

Your institution will provide you with a unique URL to access the Lending & Deposits back-office system. The URL format is typically:

https://[your-institution].savvymoney.com/admin

Login Credentials

To log in, you will need:

  • Username - Your assigned username or email address
  • Password - Your secure password
First-Time Login

If this is your first time logging in, you may be prompted to:

  1. Set a new password
  2. Configure multi-factor authentication (if enabled)
  3. Accept terms of service

Authentication Methods

Standard Login

  1. Navigate to your institution's SavvyMoney L&D login page
  2. Enter your username/email
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click Sign In

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Many institutions integrate Lending & Deposits with their existing identity provider:

  • SAML Integration - Click your institution's SSO button
  • Automatic Redirect - You may be automatically authenticated if already logged into your corporate network

Password Requirements

Your login password must contain the following:

  • At least 8 characters

  • At least one uppercase letter

  • At least one number

  • At least one special symbol (e.g. @, #, $, %, &, *)

User Roles and Permissions

Access to features within L&D is controlled by user roles.

How to Choose the Right Role

  • Just viewing data: Roles 01–03

  • Processing applications: Roles 04–06

  • Funding loans: Roles 07–09

  • Managing users or system settings: Roles 10–14

  • Branch-restricted access: Role 15

Role Assignment

Your administrator assigns roles based on your job responsibilities. Contact your admin if you need different access levels.

User Management

Adding or Removing Employees in L&D

Prerequisites

To add, remove, edit, or reset passwords for employees in the L&D Backoffice/Admin system, you must have the following permission enabled:

  • Can Add, Remove, Reset Password for Employees Access

Note: Master Admins already have this permission by default.
If you are not a Master Admin, please contact your internal Master Admin to request access.

Accessing the Employee Management Dashboard

  1. Log in to the L&D Backoffice (BO).

  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner.

  3. You will be directed to the Employee Management Dashboard.

Adding an Employee

  1. Click + Employee in the top-right corner of the Employee Management Dashboard.

  2. The Add Employee pop-up will appear.

  3. Enter the required employee information:

    • Employee Name

    • Employee ID

    • Email Address

    ⚠️ Important: Ensure the email address is accurate. It will be used to send the Reset Password link.

  4. Assign permissions by selecting one or more roles, as appropriate.

Employee Permissions Overview

You may assign any of the following permissions:

Administrative & Application Access

  • Can Add, Remove, Reset Password for Employees Access

  • Can Change Rates, Credit Policy, and More

  • Employee can see ONLY applications created by that employee

  • Employee can see all applications

Merchant & Credit Access

  • Merchant Permission

    • Can only see applications from the POS location

    • (Unselect all other locations)

  • Needs Access to Credit Reports

  • Authorized to Fund

Underwriting Permissions

  • Can do manual underwriting

  • Can override system decisions, including interest rate and term selections

Product-Level Permissions

  • Lending – Access to all loan-related products

  • Deposit – Access to all account-opening products

  • All – Access to both Lending and Deposit product categories

Editing, Deleting, or Resetting an Employee Password

  1. Locate the employee in the Employee Management Dashboard.

  2. In the Actions column, click the gear icon (⚙️) next to the employee’s name.

  3. Choose one of the following options:

    • Edit

    • Delete

    • Reset Password

Session Management

Session Timeout

For security, sessions automatically expire after a period of inactivity:

  • Default timeout: 30 minutes of inactivity
  • Warning: You'll receive a warning before timeout
  • Re-authentication: Simply log in again to continue working

Multiple Sessions

  • Users can typically have one active session at a time
  • Logging in from a new device may terminate the previous session
  • Some institutions allow multiple concurrent sessions

Troubleshooting Login Issues

Security Best Practices

To keep your account secure:

  • Never share credentials - Each user should have their own account
  • Use strong passwords - Follow password requirements carefully
  • Log out when finished - Don't leave sessions unattended
  • Report suspicious activity - Notify admin of any unusual account behavior
  • Secure your workstation - Lock your computer when stepping away
